Our Approach

Atelier Bluecraft was founded on the belief that furniture should enhance how people live in their homes. We design and build pieces that respond to individual needs rather than following predetermined styles.

Craftsmanship

Traditional joinery techniques ensure structural integrity. Our craftspeople have decades of combined experience working with wood, understanding how different species behave and how to coax the best from each board.

Materials

We select solid hardwoods, natural stone, and quality hardware. These materials develop character over time rather than deteriorating, allowing our furniture to become valued possessions.

Our Studio

Located in Oakland, our workshop combines traditional woodworking tools with modern precision equipment. This allows us to honor time-tested construction methods while achieving the tight tolerances contemporary furniture requires.

We maintain a relatively small operation by choice. This scale allows each team member to remain connected to projects from design through completion.

The studio serves clients primarily in the United States, with most projects for residential interiors in urban and suburban homes.
