Our Process
From initial consultation to white-glove delivery
Initial Consultation
We begin by visiting your space or reviewing detailed photographs and dimensions. This allows us to understand room proportions, natural light, architectural details, and how you use the space.
During this conversation, we discuss your functional requirements, aesthetic preferences, and timeline expectations. We explore materials, finishes, and reference examples that resonate with your vision.
Design Development
We create technical drawings showing elevations, sections, and details. These drawings communicate exact dimensions, joinery methods, and material specifications.
You review proposed designs with the ability to request adjustments. This iterative process ensures the final design aligns perfectly with your needs before fabrication begins.
Material Selection
We source specific boards for your project, selecting for grain pattern, color consistency, and freedom from defects. You can view samples of the actual materials we will use.
This step includes choosing finishes and hardware. We provide physical samples so you can evaluate how different options will appear in your lighting conditions.
Fabrication
Skilled craftspeople build your furniture in our studio. We use traditional joinery techniques combined with modern precision tooling.
Each joint is cut, fitted, and assembled by hand. Components are carefully shaped, sanded through progressive grits, and prepared for finishing. This phase reflects our commitment to lasting quality.
Finishing
Finishes are applied by hand in controlled conditions. Oil finishes are rubbed into the wood in multiple coats. Lacquers are sprayed in thin layers, allowing proper cure time between applications.
Hardware is installed and adjusted for smooth operation. Each piece undergoes final inspection before packing.
Delivery & Installation
Furniture is carefully wrapped and transported to your location. Our team handles installation, ensuring pieces are positioned correctly and any assembly is completed on-site.
We review care instructions with you and address any questions about maintenance. Your furniture is ready to become part of your daily life.
Timeline
Custom furniture projects typically require 12 to 16 weeks from design approval to delivery. Complex pieces or projects involving multiple items may require additional time.
We provide timeline estimates during the consultation phase and keep you informed as your project progresses through each stage.
