Custom Furniture Orders

Atelier Bluecraft Furniture specializes in custom-made furniture designed and fabricated to your specific requirements. Because each piece is built to order according to your chosen dimensions, materials, and finishes, our return policy differs from standard retail furniture.

Non-Returnable Items

Custom furniture pieces cannot be returned or exchanged once fabrication has begun. This is because:

• Each piece is made to your exact specifications
• Materials are sourced specifically for your project
• Customization makes items unsuitable for other clients
• Significant labor and materials are committed to your order

Order Cancellation

Orders may be canceled before fabrication begins. If you need to cancel an order:

• Contact us immediately in writing
• Cancellations before work begins may receive a partial refund of your deposit, minus any design fees or materials already purchased
• Once fabrication has started, orders cannot be canceled

Design Approval Process

To ensure your satisfaction, we provide a thorough design approval process:

• Detailed technical drawings showing all dimensions
• Material samples for your review
• Finish samples to evaluate appearance
• Multiple opportunities to request design changes before fabrication

Once you approve the final design, fabrication begins and the order becomes non-refundable.

Defects and Quality Issues

If your furniture arrives with defects or does not meet the specifications outlined in your approved design:

• Contact us within 7 days of delivery
• Provide photographs documenting the issue
• We will arrange for inspection and appropriate remedy
• Remedies may include repair, refinishing, or replacement at our discretion

Damage During Shipping

If furniture is damaged during delivery:

• Inspect all items before accepting delivery
• Note any damage on the delivery receipt
• Contact us immediately with photographs
• We will work with you to arrange repair or replacement

Natural Material Characteristics

Wood, stone, and other natural materials vary inherently in:

• Grain pattern and figure
• Color and tone
• Mineral streaks and natural features

These natural variations are not considered defects and are not grounds for return or refund.

Changes Over Time

Natural materials change with age and use. Wood may develop patina, finishes may show wear in high-use areas, and colors may deepen. These are normal characteristics of quality furniture and are not covered under this policy.
